Aloe Vera Recommended Dosage

Based on our clinical studies, this is the recommended dosage for Super-Strength Aloe Vera Capsules. We recommend this regimen be followed for 3 months for best results.

Month One

6 capsules per day (3 in the morning / 3 in the evening). If you are symptom-free after 30 days, continue taking 6 capsules per day for the next 60 days. If you still have symptoms after the first 30 days, move to month two.

Month Two

9 capsules per day (3 in the morning / 3 in the afternoon / 3 in the evening). If you are symptom-free after 60 days, continue taking 9 capsules per day for month three. If you still have symptoms after month two, move to month three.

Month Three

12 capsules per day (4 in the morning / 4 in the afternoon / 4 in the evening). If symptoms do not respond within 3 months while following the 6/9/12 dosage recommendations, we assume that you are one of the 12.5% of patients who will not respond to aloe vera.

Based on a 2016 survey with the Interstitial Cystitis Association, 660 patients responded with the following:

  • 92% self-reported they ‘experienced relief’ with concentrated oral aloe ver
  • 63% reported substantial improvement in urgency and frequency of urination
  • 69% reported substantial improvement in pelvic pain
  • 68% reported substantial improvement in urethral burning

    • Symptoms can return within 72 hours if the aloe vera is discontinued

    Maintenace Dose after Month Three

    The daily dose can be decreased by one capsule per week until symptoms return

  • week one > take 5 capsules per day
  • week two > take 4 capsules per day
  • week three > take 3 capsules per day

    • When you notice symptoms return, increase the daily dose by one capsule and continue on this maintenance dose. If you experience a bad day, adding 3 to 6 extra capsules at any time during the day may bring symptoms back under control. It is safe to take 21 capsules or more per day. It does not matter whether you take the aloe vera capsules with food or without; it works the same either way. It is important to drink 8 ounces of liquid with each dose. Do not take the evening dose at bedtime to avoid frequent trips to the bathroom during the night.

    If you experience indigestion when taking aloe vera, try eating something first to prevent this and/or try taking Calcium and Vitamin D3 with the aloe.

    Flares

    We recommend 6 capsules every 4 hours until you have your symptoms under control. Most people only have to take the first 6 capsules to experience relief.

    Healing Crisis

    If you experience worse symptoms when first taking Desert Harvest Super-Strength Aloe Vera, you may be experiencing a “Healing Crisis”.It is not uncommon for individuals to suffer from detoxification reactions when they begin a program of natural healing. This is classically referred to as a healing crisis and occurs when the body is expelling toxins into the different systems of the body.
