Why Human-Identical Lactoferrin
Human-Identical vs. Bovine
Lactoferrin is a protein your body already makes. Ours is effera®, which is structurally identical to human lactoferrin and made by fermentation, so it is vegan and dairy-free. Most lactoferrin sold today comes from cow's milk.
Paired with SSAV (Super-Strength Aloe Vera)
Each capsule pairs effera® human lactoferrin with a small amount of our patented SSAV (Super-Strength Aloe Vera), there to enhance absorption. It is not a replacement for standalone SSAV.
What We Do Not Claim
Researchers are also studying how lactoferrin interacts with estrogen pathways. That research is early, and we would rather tell you so. Our supplements are not hormone therapy and do not replace it.
Who It's For
Women in perimenopause and menopause who want to help support iron balance, gut balance and everyday energy. For daily bladder comfort, consider SSAV 180 Capsules.
Please note: Lactoferrin can raise iron levels. If you take an iron supplement, immunosuppressants or antibiotics, talk to your doctor first. Always consult your healthcare provider if pregnant, nursing, taking anticoagulants, or managing other medical conditions.

Your Questions Answered
Why choose human-identical over bovine lactoferrin? +
Ours is effera®, which is structurally identical to the lactoferrin your body makes and made by fermentation, so it is vegan and dairy-free. Most lactoferrin sold today is bovine: it comes from cow's milk and is a different protein.
Is this a replacement for SSAV? +
No. SSAV (Super-Strength Aloe Vera) remains the foundation for daily bladder comfort. Lactoferrin has a different job: to help support iron balance and everyday energy. Many of our customers take both.
Is this truly dairy-free? +
Absolutely. Unlike bovine lactoferrin which comes from cow's milk, our human-identical lactoferrin is produced without any animal byproducts, making it completely dairy-free.
Who should check with a doctor first? +
Lactoferrin can raise iron levels. If you take an iron supplement, immunosuppressants or antibiotics, talk to your doctor first. The same goes if you are pregnant, nursing, taking anticoagulants, or managing other medical conditions.
Is there research I can read on lactoferrin and iron support? +
Yes. Helaina, the makers of the human-identical lactoferrin (effera®) used in our formula, has published two short pieces worth reading: “Iron Status Without Iron” and “The Effects of Human Lactoferrin.” Both explore how human lactoferrin may help support iron status without supplemental iron.
